Comments

  • Note that the quote concerning BitLord license says nothing about adware - BitLord has been accused of shipping such. Also, it is banned on some private trackers on the same grounds as BitComet, since it is based on BitComet. It is said not to respect the private flag (that ensures that only those registered at the tracker can its torrents), and also report false data to trackers.

  • If you contemplate downloading a file-sharing tool, you might want to check that you do not do so from a scam site.

Quoted from P2PScams.info

Basically, a P2P scam site is a domain set up for the purpose of selling an unsuspecting user a free product, duping visitors into installing spyware, dialers, trojans or viruses, attempting to make money from a free service (through domain cloning or hijacking) or a mixture of all of these.
